What began as a networking event within a support program is now a concrete project for sustainable building optimization – the collaboration between viboo AG and DPD (Schweiz) AG shows how a meeting can lead to a true partnership.
The foundation for the cooperation was laid by the Venture Leaders Technology Program of Venturelab – one of Switzerland's most renowned startup support programs. The program connects promising Swiss tech startups with established companies and takes participants on international trips, including to Silicon Valley. Last year, viboo was part of this program and represented Switzerland as part of the national team for technology. Within this program, contact was established with DPD Switzerland, which has supported the program as a sponsor for years.
At the heart of the collaboration is the sustainable optimization of building technology in DPD Switzerland's office. Specifically, viboo's predictive individual room control is being used: an AI-powered heating control system that operates the building more energy-efficiently and data-driven. The heating is controlled proactively rather than reactively – based on weather forecasts, usage patterns, occupancy, and the thermal properties of the room. The entire system is managed via viboo.cloud, the digital management platform for smart buildings.
For DPD Switzerland , this commitment is more than just a single project. As the 'Partner of Choice' for the Swiss startup scene, the company wholeheartedly supports initiatives like the Venture Leaders Program – hoping to create precisely these kinds of synergies: startups that can test their technology in practice, and established companies that benefit from fresh solutions.

Building automation demonstrably offers energy savings of up to 35% — through networked TGA control, individual room control and AI-based optimization.

viboo adds a new layer of intelligence to buildings — one that learns from data, anticipates what’s coming, and keeps them efficient, comfortable, and future-ready.

At this year's FRETI Awards ceremony, founder and CEO Felix Bünning had the honor of accepting the evening's highest distinction – the FRETI Award 2026.
