Empa
Die viboo-Technologie wurde an der Empa entwickelt und unter realen Bedingungen validiert. Zudem wurde viboo mit dem Empa Innovationspreis ausgezeichnet. Heute ist der gesamte Empa-Campus in Dübendorf auf rund 48’000 Quadratmetern mit viboo aus gestattet, und unser offizieller Hauptsitz befindet sich im innovativen NEST-Gebäude der Empa.
ETH Zürich
Das Fundament von viboo wurde im Rahmen einer Doktorarbeit an der ETH-Zürich entwickelt und sogar mit der ETH-Medailleausgezeichnet. In seiner Forschung zeigte Felix Bünning (heutiger CEO), wie durch die Kombination von Model Predictive Control und Machine-Learning-Ansätzen der Energiebedarf von Gebäuden um bis zu 49 Prozent reduziert und gleichzeitig die Flexibilität des Energiesystems erhöht werden kann.
